Has it really been almost a week since I last posted!?!

Somebody has been lazy...

I pushed it too hard this weekend.

I made a cake for my cousin's son's 1st birthday...that meant baking Friday night, icing and decorating ALL day on Saturday, and then delivering the cake on Sunday.

It turned out really cute, but will probably be the last cake I make for a LONG time.

I have plenty on my mind, that hopefully will make it to the keyboard this week.
I promise to try...

  1. I love the cake!! You are really gifted! Fran

  2. That cake is beautiful. Wow...what an amazing talent.

  3. Love the cake!

I don't know about you, but I'm starting to get tired pretty easily these days.

  4. I love the whole "leaning over" cake look. My cousin owns a bakery and is very good at baking and decorating. She did a "leaning" over wedding cake and when she delivered it noticed that the whole wedding's theme was leaning over, even the tables, lol.

  5. That cake is fabulous looking!! I need me a family member that makes cakes this incredible. You're very talented.

  6. Love the cake. Care to share your techniques? Do you use fondant or something else?

  7. OMG that cake is gorgeous! Take it easy girl Oh and so exciting that you are 21 weeks, I hope to make it there like you too with my babies. Happy iclw.

  8. I LOVE that cake! Rest up from your adventures.

  9. It's so cute! And I know all those fondant balls are KILLER!

    Take it easy Betty Crocker!

  10. I love the cake.

Looking forward to the mail. We are in Michigan this weekend- so it might not be until Monday.

Many hugs and take good care of yourself.

  11. Very cute cake! I'm planning on making DD's baptism cake, but I doubt it will look anything like that :-)

To answer your question about the diapers on my clothes line: Those are the bum genius 3.0....they're a pocket diaper with a microfiber insert....I absolutely LOVE Them!

  12. Hope you are doing Ok. Don't overdo it! Will be interested to read when you get around to it :)

  13. Cute cake!!!

And I totally know what you mean about overdoing it. I really have to be careful with what I do these days, because things that I used to be able to do with ease suddenly leave me tired. It's weird how it just hits you that your body will not let you do all the things you want to do, like you can clearly still walk just fine, but spending an hour walking around is really too much. Sigh. I hear that it gets worse before it gets better!

  14. What an adorable cake! I'm impressed with your talent.

    Happy ICLW! (#141)
