Warp Speed

How is it the end of the year already???

The days just fly by anymore, at least when I look at a calendar.  In the moment, not so much.

What's that saying? The days are long, but the years are short?

I totally understand that.

So, 2013 is just around the corner.  Crazy.

The last few months of 2012 just flew by me.

I'm happy to say that I'm still running.

It still shocks me.

To think that in August, I couldn't run for more than 5 minutes at a time without being out of breath, and tomorrow I'll run my second 5k race.

In the cold & snow.  With at least a foot of snow on the ground.

At the end of my running class, I was surprised to find myself 15 pounds lighter and 14 inches smaller.  I'll take it.  I do feel better, and I have gotten a chance to wear a couple of pre-twin jeans. I call it a win!

Christmas was wonderful here.

My favorite moment was Christmas morning, when Miss O. joined us all upstairs, in our bed.  She whispered to M. and I, "Oh, there are 2 big things down under the tree....I think the babies are going to LOVE them!"  She could hardly contain her excitement for them.  It made my heart just jump for joy!

She is such a special little girl, and loves her brother & sister so much!

I hope your holiday celebrations were awesome, as well.

This is most likely my final post for 2012.

I didn't get a chance to sit down and type much this year, but I often thought of blog posts in my head.  That's where they'll remain, I'm sure, but perhaps I can start carving out some more time to post.

I hope so.

I miss being part of the community that offered me so much love while I was struggling to add to my family.

So, here's to hoping in 2013 that I can get my "blog" back on!

  1. Good luck with your race!! I am so proud of you :-) I know how hard it is with 3 kid--the days are so packed with everyday life stuff and activities.
Yay for fitting into pre twin jeans!!!

  2. Wow! I am so impressed by your running commitment (and your results!); makes me think I should be able to find a way, and yet I fail every time. Maybe 2013 is my year?
    Happy New Year to you!

  3. First of all, I am so proud of you for keeping up with the running. I am sure tomorrow will be so much fun... even in a foot of snow. :0 You are so ahead of all of those people who are just starting their new year exercise routine so that has to make you smile. And 15 pounds lighter??? GREAT job!

As for the blog, I totally get it. If it wasn't for 30 posts in 30 days I might never have caught my out of town family up on life with our two kids. I just can't seem to find the time or the passion to write a lot. I am sure things will change as our children grow. I still enjoy when you do post so I look forward to whatever you have to offer next year.

  4. You rock! I learned to run seven years ago and I appreciate how it can change your life! Love what you shared about Miss O and the relationship she has with her younger brother and sister. I was just thinking today how much it means to me to see my two living children interacting the way they do from day to day and how the love each other and enjoy each others company, most of the time! I know you can get your blog back on in 2013! I look forward to following when you do! Happy New Year!

  5. so so proud of you for sticking to running - you are officially a runner, i say! and 15 pounds? rock it girl :)

Miss O is such a great big sister.

  6. I give you major kudos for running! I'd love to lose 15 lbs and 14".

Aren't the kids the best on Christmas morning (and every morning).

  7. Yay for running - that is awesome. I really want to get there, hopefully some day!

  8. No matter how many blogs, which are able to stand out, attract the line of sight of people, the article content is very wonderful, continue to come on to write this article.
