All by myself
Don't wanna be, all by myself anymore
Don't wanna be, all by myself anymore
OK, so it isn't that bad.
It is weird, though, to only have the twins at home with me. And, if I'm being honest, a little lonely.
Miss O. had a great first day of school and came home smiling.
It is a little more challenging than I expected. Miss O. was really good at helping replace a Binky, or pacifier in the fussing baby's mouth, buying me a little time. She was also my legs, running up & down the stairs to grab what I needed, extra onsies, diapers, wipes.
Most of all, I miss her little voice singing, "Ca.rina don't cry, Ca.rina, don't cry", a little song she made up all on her own.
I'm so happy that I'm not returning to work now. It would break my heart to only see Miss O. for about an hour a day.
Instead, I get to be here when she gets off the bus, and enjoy all *three* of my children for the afternoon and evening.
I'm incredibly lucky, even if I am all by myself.
My son is now 22....I was so wonderfully blessed to have him...went through years of taking my temperature every morning...shots.....MUCH PRAYER.....dr visits in another city.....MUCH PRAYER.....and at last, I was pregnant.
ReplyDeleteI ALWAYS wanted to be able to stay home to raise my children...my mother did and it meant so much to me. I, personally, didn't want someone else to "raise" him, which is what happens when they are in daycare....you don't have much influence over them because they are with someone else the majority of the time.
Think of ALL the milestones you are there to witness...and now....when "Miss O" comes home from school...you will be there to hear all about it.
When my son was in kindergarten, I volunteered over 400 hours in his classroom....it was SOOOO much fun working with all the kids...helping them read, going to lunch with them, crafts,....I did bulletin boards, decorated the hall outside the classroom.....maybe you could do that too!
You are very blessed to be a homemaker..most women work and miss out on so much....the woman is the "heart of the home" and you can use that extra time to create that loving warm atmosphere in your home....a place your family will want to come home to!!!
God Bless you! DM
you lucky duck. In so many ways!
